why felt this scene familiar?
getting a sense of déjà vu
unraveled your contender
is this the reason why we rendezvoused?
down the river, a boat tied fast ashore
leavess would wither, should i leave my love behind
sore grains to pass the hourglass
lost, a lifetime is tossed (rain arising, worlds devising)
my future for your past (submerging pieces)
lost, in the floods (waters rising)
if i can’t have it all, why take anything (i’m drowning, your teachings, i’m drowning, keep breathing)
i am torn
people's voices chatter – all that i can hear: background noises shatter
like the roaring waves
patterns reappear – still running my head: blurry thoughts unclear
move from side to side
put my mind at rest – riding the storm out – weary eyes distressed
barren lands unfold
shocking sights retake – holding my breath – sleeping dog awake
a shrouded man descends
all mesmerized by memories
you’re playing right before my eyes
i’m listening to your tune again
all mesmerized by memories
the waves come crushing down on me
listening to your tune one last time
all mesmerized by memories
the waves come crushing down on us
we’re listening to your tune one last time
BBT are standard bearers for modern prog, with a sound that evokes the spirit of those legendary 70s bands whilst managing to also be thoroughly contemporary. It's astonishing that over 30 minutes of music of this quality, with such high production values, is being made available for free - and their full albums are also very reasonably priced... Absolutely hooked on this album from first listen. How rare is that with prog!??? Excellent songwriting and musicianship. Can’t wait to dive into the rest of the collection. Thomas Lock
