[Voices:]
“breaking news
he split his wife with his axe
but it happened in self-defense
don't you know: choking hits the spot at sex
if it's okay with your moral sense
her last date was such a jerk
so, she only blew him twice
though all day she was crying 'cause
she's so sick of her husband’s lies”
sweet silence
relieve me from their screams
dim their voices
won't you tuck me in
sweet silence
creeping in my ears
sweetest silence
[Voices:]
“breaking news
the white house is pushing the war on terror:
a lifetime appointment has been rejected
and impeachment proceedings have been initiated
frank grimes live from d.c.
I spy with my little eye
you’ll be like ‘omg!’
in accelerated growth lies our one salvation
and we need to stop the digital alienation
the new season turned my world upside down
life's so empty without deafening sound
so many voices in my head
everyone is talking, nobody is listening
a fool thinks himself to be wise, but a wise man knows himself to be a fool
we interrupt this program to annoy you and make things generally irritating”
the wheel has come full circle
leave behind the madness
leave her back in sadness
leave behind the sadness
leave her back in madness
BBT are standard bearers for modern prog, with a sound that evokes the spirit of those legendary 70s bands whilst managing to also be thoroughly contemporary. It's astonishing that over 30 minutes of music of this quality, with such high production values, is being made available for free - and their full albums are also very reasonably priced... Absolutely hooked on this album from first listen. How rare is that with prog!??? Excellent songwriting and musicianship. Can’t wait to dive into the rest of the collection. Thomas Lock
